My friend's turtle is going for surgery to seal up hole in the jaw after the jaw bone died

Anyway, I was asking if he can be in the surgery room and flim down the whole procedure because this should be very interesting.

cassie SG

According to my KL friends.

It's normal. He was complaining that he cannot communicate with his cousins because they can't speak English and he can't speak Mandarin and his Malay sucks

i think it's pretty common - i didn't realise this until i started working. a lot of malaysian chinese speak mandarin, at least the younger ones because they were schooled in chinese school up to primary level. hence they only "started" using english or malay in secondary school

elindra SG

I didn't realised that because my Malaysian friends all speak English and really suck at Mandarin.

elindra SG

My friend is complaining that Shelly and his Big Boy is ganging up together to bully others

the Bear SG

my ears are ringing.. the neighbour's house just got hit by lightning..

yes.. it was that close

elindra SG

Wow! There was a loud boom?

the Bear SG

yah.. everything lit up...

i think it hit the lightning conductor so should be fine...

wait.. i go investigate the people in front.. there was a huge crane across the road where they're rebuilding a house

the Bear SG

fricken maniacs are still working.. surrounded by rebar.. and a huge mofo-ing crane above them!!

cassie SG

they're about your age/my age group, right? it's the same with me but i do notice that once i move out of this circle, a lot of them speak mandarin. and naturally my mandarin sucks.

elindra SG

They are around my age (early to mid 30s) or younger Mid – Late 20s

早安, 您好!

Even from my distance, i can see it is about 3mm...!!

The other day I was eating at the edge of the canteen....right next to the open, a bolt of lightning struck the hilltop right next to where I was sitted.

The sound and the flash of light was so fast I couldn't even react and my eardrums were darn near busted.
